Abstract
dotracheal intubation is necessary method for patients with respiratory failure, but it cause damages of oral cavity, pharynx and laryngeal mucosa in several hours later after intubation. Consequently, trachestomy is required in patients with respiratory failure, unavoidable prolonged mechanical ventilator use. Granulation tissue after tracheostomy is made decannulation difficulty, hemorrhage and infection, resulted tracheal stenosis. Treatments of tracheal stenosis by geanulation have been used with local corticosteroid, regular mechanical bougie dilator, laryngoscopic and bronchoscopic removal, CO©ü laser or Nd:YAG laser application and tracheal stent insertion. We recently experienced successfully decannulation in patiens with large intratracheal granulation tissue under a rigid bronchoscope.
